In Portugal, there are 2,800 members of Johrei Centers including the capital, Lisbon. Some of these centers have offered activities such as the Sangetsu Schools of flower arrangement and ceramics schools to name but two.
There are several hundred Johrei members in European Centers including Paris, London, Rome and Bergamo, Frankfurt as well as Athens and Thessaloniki in Greece.
In Germany Johrei has gained a good reputation especially amongst sufferers of Parkinson's disease who can attend workshops especially set up for them. There are also members in Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands and Spain.

In the UK, we are approved as a registered Charity, Izunome Kyodan United Kingdom.

Dr. Michael Dixon who is a chair of the National Health Service Alliance (right) has conducted extensive research on Johrei.
