Ecological issues have been a lot more concerned than ever to maintain green environment.
EM Laboratory Corporation, an affiliated corporation in Shizuoka, produces EM materials which purify environment. EM is abbreviation of Effective Microorganisms invented by Teruo Higa, an emeritus professor at the University of Ryukyu.
EM has been utilized for various purposes in Japan, for example, growing rice, vegetables, and fruits with Nature Farming, stockbreeding, composting garbage, purifying rivers, ponds, and the sea, or cleaning a swimming pool and so on.

The meeting, “Exchange of Nature Farming/EM techniques” is being held annually.
